Photofest CuiCui 2026: An Invitation to Photographers
The renowned
Tamron Corporation is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming
Photofest CuiCui 2026, taking place on
September 12th and 13th at the esteemed
Hokkaido Prefectural Red Brick Office in Sapporo. This event promises to be a must-visit for photography enthusiasts looking for inspiration and new techniques.
At the Tamron booth, attendees can explore an array of the latest photographic lenses, highlighted by the new
12-20mm F2.8 (Model A084) and
17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Model B070). Visitors will have the chance to engage in
Touch & Try (T&T) sessions and enjoy the experience of borrowing lenses for outdoor photography with just an ID as collateral.
Exciting Programs Await
The event will feature appealing programs, including a talk stage by the photographer
wacamera, and a special café photography workshop led by the acclaimed photographer
Mayumi Watanabe. These sessions are designed to fully immerse everyone in the fascinating world of photography.

Engaging Stage Events
On
September 13, a special talk stage will feature
wacamera, who has captured the essence of travel through photography. The theme for this talk is “Documenting Journeys with Impactful Lenses.” Guests can enjoy hearing insights into the use of the latest Tamron lenses up close.

- - Cost: Standing room is free; premium seats (limited to 16) are available at ¥1,000 in advance or ¥1,500 on the day.
- - No pre-registration needed for attendance.
Hands-On Photography Workshop
Additionally, we will be hosting a photography workshop at the
café restaurant HOUSE.H, reserved for participants with
Mayumi Watanabe as their guide. Using lenses such as the
17-70mm F2.8 and
35-100mm F2.8, attendees will have the opportunity to learn practical techniques for café-style photography.
- - Date: September 12, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
- - Entry Fee: ¥3,000, which includes lens rental.
- - Limited to 10 participants, reservations required.
Latest Lens Showcase
The Tamron booth will showcase some of the latest products, including the new highly-anticipated
12-20mm F2.8 (Model A084) among others tailored for various camera mounts like
Sony E,
Nikon Z, and
Canon RF. Each lens will be available for hands-on trials, allowing visitors to experience the advanced capabilities firsthand.
- - Lens Rental: Visitors can experience the thrill of shooting with our advanced lenses outside the venue for a limited time of 60 minutes, free of charge.
