ISPE Unveils New Leadership for 2025-2026
The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) has officially announced the results of its elections for the 2025-2026 International Board of Directors. These newly elected leaders will play crucial roles in shaping the future of the organization, overseeing its governance and strategic initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry.
The election results were shared on September 3, 2025, revealing a diverse group of accomplished professionals who will guide the ISPE as it continues to address complex challenges faced by the pharmaceutical sector. The new Board members will take their positions at the upcoming ISPE Annual Meeting and Expo scheduled for October 26-29 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and online.
Leadership Roles in the New Board
Executive Committee
- - Chair: Vivianne Arencibia, the Vice President of Global Quality Systems and Compliance at Moderna, brings a wealth of experience in ensuring quality standards in pharmaceutical engineering.
- - Vice Chair: Ylva Ek, founder of Robur Life Science Advisory AB, offers deep insights into strategic advisory in life sciences.
- - Treasurer: David Churchward, Head of Operations Quality Compliance and External Affairs at AstraZeneca, will oversee the financial stewardship of the organization.
- - Secretary: Georg Singewald, PhD, serving as the Global Head of Quality and Compliance at Roche/Genentech, is responsible for maintaining records and facilitating effective communication.
- - Past Chair: Jeffrey Biskup, PE, holds the position of Executive Chairman of the Board at CRB, providing wisdom and guidance from previous leadership experience.
- - Ex Officio Non-Voting Member: Mike Martin, the President and CEO of ISPE, will provide ongoing insights and strategic direction.
Returning Board Member
- - Liz Dooley has been re-elected for a second term as Senior Director of Global Engineering and Technology at Johnson & Johnson, continuing her service on the Board.

- - Jose Caraballo, Vice President of Quality Systems, Compliance, and Quality Engineering at Kite, a Gilead Company, joins the team to enhance quality oversight.
