Collaboration Between Sherpa and Fujitsu Japan
Sherpa & Company, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has announced a new collaboration with Fujitsu Japan to enhance sustainability management services through the integration of their respective platforms. The partnership aims to assist companies in achieving data-driven sustainability management by combining Sherpa's SmartESG platform with Fujitsu Japan's Eco Track service.
Background of the Collaboration
In the ever-evolving field of sustainability, managing data effectively is becoming increasingly complex. Different companies use varied calculation foundations and visualization tools, leading to a diversification of approaches. To elevate the value of sustainability information and establish a more coherent and usable foundation, it's critical to share data between services and create an environment where common metrics and formats can be utilized. The framework for interoperable data connections will serve as a backbone for supporting sustainable business practices moving forward.
Sherpa's SmartESG platform enables centralized management and analysis of sustainability and ESG data in the cloud. This service not only aids in voluntary disclosures primarily for sustainability evaluation agencies but also aggregates sustainability and ESG data from corporate branches both domestically and internationally, ensuring compliance with all legal disclosure requirements. Sherpa has been recognized as the first S&P Global CSA taxonomy certified partner in the APAC region and has also earned the title of CDP Silver Certified Solution Provider. This positions Sherpa to effectively collaborate with major domestic and international evaluation agencies and information disclosure systems.
Overview of the Collaboration
As the first step in this partnership, Sherpa will recommend SmartESG to customers utilizing or considering Fujitsu's Eco Track, enabling them to further leverage environmental data collected and calculated via Eco Track for legal disclosures and sustainability evaluation requirements. This will allow companies to manage environmental data calculations through their environmental departments while simultaneously enhancing the accuracy, speed, and consistency of disclosures handled by management and sustainability departments.
In addition, by 2026, the collaboration aims to achieve API integration between Eco Track and SmartESG, which will strengthen data interoperability between the two systems. Users will be able to auto-reference GHG emission and energy data calculated in Eco Track within SmartESG, thereby ensuring the integrity of sustainability information disclosure, reducing the effort of data transcription, and improving the accuracy of the disclosure process.
