This project aims to transform cultural experiences by enabling real-time conversations with a digital representation of Basho. The prototype is set to be publicly tested at the Iga City Central Library in Mie Prefecture from October 1 to 15, 2026, allowing visitors to engage with a historical figure in a unique and immersive way.

The AI Matsuo Basho project stands out due to its cost-effective approach. While conventional android robots often require millions in development costs, Hibino’s prototype has achieved a substantially lower budget, costing only about one-eighth of traditional methods. This prototype utilizes Samsung's advanced spatial display technology to create a captivating experience.
