Envision Energy Expands Its Footprint in Vietnam



Envision Energy, a prominent name in green technology, has recently made a significant leap forward with the announcement of its largest wind energy project to date in Vietnam. In partnership with REE Energy, the leading renewable energy investment firm of the country, Envision is set to develop a 200 MW nearshore wind project, a landmark initiative that promises not only to transform the local energy landscape but also positions itself as a crucial part of Southeast Asia’s future energy system.

The project, known as Phu Cuong 1A and 1B, consists of deploying 25 EN-226/8.X YE wind turbines. These turbines are specifically designed for optimal performance in the low-to-medium wind conditions typical of Vietnam's nearshore waters. Production of the turbines is slated to commence in the second quarter of 2027, with plans for grid connection by October of the same year. Edward Hou, the Senior Vice President and President of Asia-Pacific Region at Envision Energy, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: “The next phase of wind development will be defined not only by scale but by how effectively technology can be matched to local resources and long-term system needs. Through the Phu Cuong Project, we aim to demonstrate that technology tailored to local conditions, combined with reliable execution and lifecycle services, can provide lasting value.”
