Experience the Future of Sewer Inspections
On December 25, 2025, Space One, a prominent technology provider from Fukushima, will hold a free experience event in Asaka City, Saitama. The event will showcase the innovative sewer inspection crawler robot,
PIPETREKKER A-200, along with the specialized software
WinCan VX designed for inspection and report generation.
The Need for Efficient Sewer Inspections
With the anticipated completion of the special sewer investigation in February 2025, there is a growing mandate for regular sewer inspections and reporting. This is resulting in an increased focus on methods that minimize equipment needs, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce manpower in the inspection field.
In this experience session, attendees will witness a live demonstration of the entire inspection process, which encompasses
capture, inspection, analysis, and
reporting. This is the perfect opportunity to observe practical solutions directly aligned with the realities of the inspection industry.
Highlights of the Event
1. Compact Operation Without a Camera Truck
The PIPETREKKER A-200 is developed by DeepTrekker, a Canadian underwater drone manufacturer, and is engineered to operate effectively in pipes with a diameter of 200mm. It can withstand depths of up to 50m underwater and is designed to be low-maintenance and rugged. Unlike traditional sewer inspections that require large camera trucks, the PIPETREKKER can operate with just a small crew and limited equipment:
- - Easy Setup: Operates with only a main body, a reel, and a controller contained within two hard cases.
- - Cost-effective: This tool allows new entrants into the inspection business while reducing the operational costs associated with camera truck usage.
- - Team Efficiency: Existing inspection teams can downsize while increasing the number of inspected sites thanks to this innovative tool.
2. Comprehensive Data Management with WinCan VX
During the event, you will see how the data captured by the PIPETREKKER is seamlessly integrated with the WinCan VX software. This specialized application enables:
- - Defect marking,
- - Annotation on videos and photographs,
- - Generation of photo albums and reports.
Furthermore, WinCan VX offers centralized management for follow-up tasks after inspections. Reports can be customized to meet the requirements of various municipalities.

Growing Consultations in Sewer Inspection
At present, Space One is experiencing an upsurge in consultations related to inspecting sewer pipeline interiors, confined spaces, and both gas and underwater areas. The applicability of crawler robots and underwater drones in inspections is being recognized for balancing safety and efficiency.
With the capability to conduct inspections without a camera truck, and access points like manholes and pipelines, this technology represents a significant advancement in the industry.
