Bybit Revamps WSOT 2025 with a 10 Million USDT Prize Pool
On
August 12, 2025, Bybit, the world's second largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, unveiled the flagship trading competition of the year: the
World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2025. Scheduled to commence on August 12, 2025, at 10 AM UTC, this year's edition promises to set a new standard in cryptocurrency trading competitions.
As the oldest trading competition in the cryptocurrency domain, WSOT is undergoing a transformative year, designed to reimagine and elevate the trading experience.
WSOT 2025 aims to create a more inclusive and engaging environment for traders, with zero barriers to entry. By removing previous entry fees, Bybit is determined to reward skill, strategy, and leadership rather than financial prerequisites, ensuring everyone can participate.
In a rapidly changing landscape influenced by Centralized (CEX) and Decentralized Exchanges (DEX), WSOT 2025 leverages the synergies with traditional finance (TradFi) and expands its global arena, allowing traders to seize on-chain opportunities and delve into tokenized offerings from the TradFi realm. With the backing of a network of partners from the blockchain, cryptocurrency, and financial service sectors, including
EthicHub,
Blockchain for Good Alliance, and others, the competition aims to foster true collaboration within the industry.
The competition format has also evolved significantly, featuring a prize pool totaling
10 million USDT. Besides the main tournament, additional competitions such as the
WSOT Trader's Camp and the
WSOT On-Chain Trader House—a DEX event co-hosted by
Bybit Web3 and
Byreal—will provide alternative routes to garner distinct prizes and bonuses.
To ensure fair competition, WSOT 2025 introduces a tiered and weighted system, allowing participants to compete within their weight classes—from beginner (starting at $100) to heavyweight (up to $10,000). Each category will have its respective prize pool, fostering a competitive spirit while catering to participants of all experience levels.
The main event will take place from
August 27 at 10 AM UTC to
September 15 at 10 AM UTC, featuring four categories of rewards with a grand total of
8 million USDT allocated for distribution. The key prize segments are as follows:
1.
Global Team PnL %: A total of
3.6 million USDT will be granted to the top 40 teams, with the highest-ranking leaders claiming
20% of the team prize pool.
2.
Individual Overall Profit:
1.2 million USDT will be awarded based on competition classification from beginner to heavyweight.
3.
Regional Trading Volume:
2.44 million USDT across nine regions, benchmarked by participant trading volume.
4.
Daily Individual PnL %: A set daily prize of
40,000 USDT over 19 days for the top 100 winners.
These varied prize avenues provide participants with a multitude of opportunities to earn rewards, ensuring that the entire WSOT community, regardless of their trading volume, can engage and showcase their enthusiasm for cryptocurrency.
