Discover Strength Launches Its Inaugural Florida Studio in Naples, Pioneering Efficient Training

Discover Strength Opens Its First Florida Studio in Naples

Discover Strength, a highly regarded name in the strength training sector, is set to unveil its inaugural location in Florida, establishing a new presence in Naples come April 2026. The studio is centered around principles designed for individuals leading busy lives who seek effective workouts without the bulk of traditional exercise commitments.

Nestled at 2160 Airport-Pulling Road North, Ste. 107, the Naples studio will differentiate itself by providing 30-minute strength training sessions conducted twice a week under the guidance of certified exercise physiologists. Grounded in extensive peer-reviewed research, this innovative model not only aims to bolster muscle strength but also enhances body composition and promotes long-term health, allowing clients to achieve significant results without unnecessary hours in a gym.

The establishment of the Naples location marks a pivotal moment in Discover Strength's nationwide expansion strategy. Steven Mueller, a long-time client with the brand, has transitioned into a multi-unit franchise owner and will spearhead the operations of this location. His extensive experience in healthcare spans over two decades with UnitedHealth Group's Optum division, focusing particularly on aging populations, which has fueled his dedication to preventative health and sustainable fitness.

Mueller's initial skepticism about the efficiency of a brief training regimen quickly vanished after his first experiences with Discover Strength's approach. He stated, "I doubted the science at first. Thirty minutes, twice a week felt impossible compared to what I had been doing. But within weeks, I realized I had been doing fitness wrong for years. This works, and it's sustainable."

Owning two other studios in the Minneapolis area and under a development territory extending from Naples to Sarasota, Mueller plans to proliferate the Discover Strength model across Collier County and beyond. The Naples site was selected strategically in response to the region's health-oriented demographic, particularly adults over 55 who are keen on healthy aging and improving their quality of life.

Explaining this choice, Mueller said, "Naples has incredible energy around health – tennis, golf, pickleball – but there's a real disconnect between what people are doing and what the science supports. Discover Strength fills that gap. There is nothing else like this in the market."

Overseeing the studio's daily activities will be General Manager Mitchell Borchardt, a seasoned exercise physiologist relocating specifically to lead this launch. Borchardt's track record with the brand includes successfully managing a studio in Minneapolis, positioning him well to support the growing needs of the Naples community.

The mission of Discover Strength Naples is to become a leading destination for wellness and healthy aging. The studio will offer a unique health perspective, branded as "resistance training as medicine," allowing clients to experience safe, efficient, and high-impact workouts, designed to enhance strength and independence throughout their lives.

A festive grand opening ceremony, complete with a ribbon-cutting event, is planned for May 2026, along with further community engagement and partnerships.
