Enhancing GLOOBE Architect: Elevating Japan's BIM Design Submission Efficiency
Fukui Computer Architect Co., Ltd., headquartered in Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, has announced a significant upgrade to its domestic BIM architectural design support system, GLOOBE 2025 Architect. This update will commence on April 8, 2026, aligning with the full-scale launch of BIM drafting checks set for April 2026.
As the Construction Standards Act and the Compliance Certification System in Japan assure, this newest update has been tailored to drastically streamline both design and submission processes. One of the standout features is the automatic checklist generation for the 'Input/Output Standards Compliance Declaration', enabling firms to tackle BIM drafting reviews effectively.
The core of GLOOBE's update revolves around improving the overall reliability and productivity of design and submission operations through their BIM system. By introducing functionalities ready to support the BIM review process, they are paving the way for practical and efficient BIM utilization in real work settings.
Key Upgrade Features
Automating Declaration Creation
Building on the feedback about the concerns associated with reporting—such as uncertainty in declaration creation or the fear of missing essential details—GLOOBE Architect can now generate checklists with the simple touch of a button. By merely clicking through checklist items, users can visually confirm the necessary information and basis for representation at a glance, significantly reducing the effort required to ensure compliance with Input/Output Standards and preventing potential omissions in reporting.
One-Touch Verification and Matching
In light of apprehensions about potential increased verification efforts for drafting reviews, this upgrade specifically addresses the laborious aspect of manual checks. Previously requiring up to four hours to prepare and verify declarations, the updated system allows users to complete these tasks with just one click. By significantly reducing the workload associated with declaration processing and verification, designers can immerse themselves in more creative aspects of their design projects.
Release Date
The updated features will be available from April 8, 2026. Note that access to this upgrade necessitates having the GLOOBE Architect basic package and regulatory check options.
