WelbeHealth Expands Access to Vital Senior Care Services
In a significant move towards enhancing elderly care,
WelbeHealth, a physician-led senior health services company, has announced the opening of two new centers in
Elk Grove and
San Bernardino, California. This expansion aims to bring the
Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to regions with rapidly growing senior populations that are currently underserved.
An Urgent Need for Senior Care in California
The two counties targeted for this expansion illustrate a critical need for accessible and high-quality care. Elk Grove, the second-largest city in Sacramento County, has seen its population rise to nearly 183,000, with approximately 24% of residents being 55 years old or older. Meanwhile,
San Bernardino County, located east of Los Angeles, reports some of the highest rates of chronic illness statewide.
Dr.
Si France, the Founder and CEO of WelbeHealth, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting these communities. “At WelbeHealth, we lead with our values-driven culture and our commitment to quality and compliance,” he stated. “With our expansion into Elk Grove and San Bernardino, we are committed to delivering high-quality care that enables seniors to thrive at home and in their communities.”
Integrated Care Under One Roof
The new centers will implement WelbeHealth’s innovative integrated care model, which coordinates
medical, social, and in-home support for seniors who often lack consistent care. According to Dr.
Vaneesh Soni, the Chief Growth Officer at WelbeHealth, the goal is to make the PACE model more accessible, especially with upcoming changes to Medi-Cal eligibility expected in 2026.
“The establishment of these centers allows us to provide seniors in these two communities the care they need to maintain their health,” he added. “The PACE model is not only cost-effective but also enhances the quality of life for its participants.”
A Proven Model of Care
The PACE model of care has proven effective in bridging gaps left by California's often underfunded and fragmented long-term care system. It provides comprehensive health and support services that have demonstrated higher median survival rates when compared to traditional nursing homes and waiver programs, addressing the needs of a frailer older population. Moreover, PACE has been shown to save taxpayers an average of
$10,000 per participant annually while ensuring better health outcomes.
WelbeHealth: A Commitment to Seniors
Founded in 2015, WelbeHealth is dedicated to offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services specifically for seniors, encapsulated within the PACE framework. These services include
medical and dental care, physical and occupational therapy, behavioral health support, as well as transportation and personal care assistance. The organization approaches elderly care holistically, targeting social determinants of health to help seniors live safely and independently in their homes.
Their commitment to community health and quality care positions WelbeHealth as a leader in addressing the expanding challenges of elder care in California. As noted in their comprehensive healthcare strategy, WelbeHealth's priority is enhancing lives and ensuring that elderly citizens receive the care and respect they deserve.
