Sanwa Holdings Achieves Top Rating in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for First Time

Sanwa Holdings Co., Ltd. headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has made headlines by earning the coveted title of "Supplier Engagement Leader" in the 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by the international environmental non-profit organization CDP. This recognition marks the first time the company has been awarded the highest rating, setting a significant milestone in their sustainability journey.

The CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment evaluates companies that respond to the CDP climate change questionnaire, focusing on how effectively they collaborate with suppliers on climate change issues. Notably, Sanwa Holdings was also included in the highest-rated "A List" for the Climate Change category, resulting in accolades in two distinct areas within the CDP evaluation.

With a commitment to achieving a sustainable society, the Sanwa Group has established ambitious CO2 reduction targets: a 20% reduction by FY2027 compared to FY2019, a 30% reduction by FY2030, and a goal of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions from business activities by 2050. These targets reflect their dedication to energy-saving initiatives and investments in solar power installations, among various efforts aimed at CO2 reduction.

Additionally, Sanwa Shutter Industry offers high-insulation products and services through its "Re-carbo" series, contributing to their customers' efforts in reducing CO2 emissions. The company has also introduced the "YAG® Door green flag," which utilizes low CO2 steel known as GX steel, further demonstrating their commitment to enhancing sustainability throughout their entire supply chain.
