Unveiling an Exclusive Train Snack Experience

Suntory and JR East have joined forces to celebrate the year-round launch of the Matsurika Green Tea Can by launching a unique event aboard the Tōkaidō Shinkansen. The event, aptly titled “Is this the fastest snack in Japan? – A train ride featuring one-day-only limited snacks”, promises an unforgettable experience blending travel, entertainment, and delightful flavors.

Event Overview

Starting November 4, 2026, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy this lively mobile entertainment talk show on a private Shinkansen car. The event can accommodate a select few, with invitations being drawn for five groups of two individuals each.

To enter, interested participants are encouraged to visit Suntory's promotional campaign website, with applications opening from September 30 to October 5, 2026. To be eligible, applicants must be 20 years or older and reside within Japan.

The Shinkansen will be transformed using the Private Train Car Package. Inside, the decor will be themed like a bar, offering a special drinking experience featuring “JR Can” and “JJ Can”, encouraging guests to drink, chat, and sing while zooming along at speeds up to 285 km/h.

An Entertaining Atmosphere

Expect laughter and fun, as the event will feature an appearance by a celebrity mimicker acting as the snack bar's hostess. Guests can enjoy an entertainment show full of impersonations along with a “mini-consulting session” for personal dilemmas and worries.
