Miki Fujimoto Takes on a New Role at Chuo High School
Chuo High School, operated by DeNA Co., Ltd. and managed by Akira Saito, has recently appointed the well-known talent Miki Fujimoto, affectionately called 'Mikity,' as its Consultation Chairperson. This appointment is in line with the school's ongoing commitment to support its students, especially as they navigate their high school lives. The announcement coincides with the airing of a nationwide television commercial featuring Fujimoto, which had begun in July, promoting the school's values and offerings.
The inauguration ceremony for Fujimoto took place on August 14. During this event, she was presented with a giant special business card that featured her new title. Fujimoto expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “I believe this school supports various children and families, and I want to respond to many different types of consultations.” This statement reflects her dedication to fostering a supportive environment for students.
Fujimoto, a mother of three, has gained considerable support from many parents by sharing her insights on parenting through YouTube and television appearances. Her empathetic understanding of both parent and student perspectives was a key reason for her selection as the Consultation Chairperson. During the inauguration, she emphasized her intent to be a nurturing guidance figure for students.
After the formal introduction, a consultation session was held where students had the opportunity to express their concerns directly to Fujimoto, seeking her advice on various aspects of high school life.
Challenges Faced by Students
The first student sought guidance on how to respond positively when approached by friends in need. Fujimoto responded thoughtfully, indicating that often, people who are troubled can have a narrow perspective. She advised, “When you support someone, try not to dismiss their feelings but instead help them see things differently. For instance, you might say, ‘Look, there’s not just one way to see this. There’s a right way, a left way, and even an alternative approach.’” This advice illustrated her approach to broaden students' outlooks.
The second student inquired about preparing for a future career in entertainment and what experiences would be beneficial. Fujimoto encouraged the student to engage in part-time work and various experiences, stating, “There’s a significant difference between imagining something and actually experiencing it. Whether it’s singing or acting, it’s vital to gather experiences and foster communication with diverse individuals, as these skills will benefit you in any profession.” Her support clearly resonated with students aspiring to enter the competitive world of entertainment.
The last student shared concerns about self-expression and asked how they could establish their originality. Fujimoto confidently replied, “What comes from within you is already unique. You don’t need to transform into something else to find your originality. Simply expressing your thoughts is incredible, whether it aligns with others or not.” Her optimistic attitude seemed to uplift the atmosphere, highlighting her belief in the value of individual expression.
As the session concluded, Fujimoto delivered a final empowering message to the students: “There’s no need to compare yourself to others. As long as you don’t hurt anyone, learn from your failures while you find what success means to you.” Fujimoto's words proved to be a comforting assurance, allowing the initially nervous students to leave the event with smiles and newfound confidence.
Chuo High School is dedicated to promoting its distinct educational environment through various activities like these. They continue to strive towards enhancing their educational offerings while reaching out to more students via engaging campaigns and initiatives.
