MetLife Life Insurance and Miki City Partner for Local Revitalization

A New Partnership for Regional Development: MetLife and Miki City

On October 6, 2025, MetLife Insurance Company, under the leadership of CEO Dirk Osteen, entered into a collaborative agreement with Miki City, Hyogo, aimed at promoting local revitalization. This marks the fifth agreement the company has established with local municipalities in Hyogo, following a previous partnership with Takarazuka City.

Miki City Mayor Kazuhiko Nakata and MetLife's Regional Manager Yoshinori Nose participated in a signing ceremony held at Miki City Hall. This agreement seeks to leverage both parties’ expertise and networks to create opportunities for residents to envision fulfilling life plans. The collaboration will focus primarily on three key areas:

1. Workshops and Seminars on Life Design and Financial Literacy: These initiatives will be aimed at empowering citizens through enhanced understanding of financial concepts and personal finance management.

2. Financial Education for Children: The partnership will promote workshops targeted at younger audiences, ensuring that financial literacy is ingrained from an early age.

3. Information Exchange for Regional Activation and Life Design Opportunities: Both parties aim to share insights and resources that will foster community development and life planning.

During the signing ceremony, Regional Manager Nose expressed, "We are honored to have the opportunity to contribute our experience towards improving life design support and financial literacy in the community. We are committed to genuinely working towards building a brighter future for the region."

As an inaugural activity under this partnership, MetLife employees are scheduled to conduct a seminar on financial education at a local high school in Miki City later this month. This initiative reflects MetLife's ongoing commitment to community engagement and the promotion of financial awareness.
