IKITSUKE BREW event, taking place at
Daiya Gate Ikebukuro from
October 31 to November 2, 2025. This event promises an unforgettable experience for astronomy enthusiasts and the general public alike with a range of activities focused on exploring the sun and the night sky.
Event Highlights
Sightron Japan will set up a booth at the IKITSUKE BREW event to showcase an impressive array of optical equipment, including telescopes and binoculars tailored for both novice and seasoned stargazers. Aimed at providing educational insights into the cosmos, the company will host two special observational sessions during the event: a solar observation during the day and a stargazing event at night. Knowledgeable guides will be on hand to offer celestial commentary, ensuring participants gain a deeper understanding of the starry skies above.
The IKITSUKE BREW event strives to highlight the cultural and culinary offerings along the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, utilizing the open spaces of the
Daiya Deck located above the train tracks. This unique location not only facilitates stunning views of the sky but also enhances the community spirit by encouraging local food and cultural exchanges.
Observational Details
Visitors can look forward to daytime solar observation sessions and serene nighttime stargazing experiences. The dates and times for these activities are as follows:
- - October 31, 2025: Solar & Stargazing from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- - November 1 & 2, 2025: Solar & Stargazing from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Note: Activities are subject to weather conditions. They may be canceled in the case of inclement weather.
Stargazing Commentary Schedule
Star commentary sessions are scheduled to take place around
6:30 PM each day, with approximately 20 minutes set aside for discussions on various astronomical topics. Even in the event of adverse weather, the commentary will still be held. Highlighting the diverse expertise in astronomical education, Sightron Japan will feature:
- - October 31: Junko Kawai, a trained planetarium planner.
- - November 1 & 2: Yuta Sasaki, an engaged astronomy guide known for his travels and extensive knowledge of the night sky.
