Unreined Whiskey Introduces Immersive Experience at WildHorse Ranch in Texas

Unreined Whiskey's New Visitor Center: A Gateway to Bourbon Culture in Texas

Unreined Whiskey, an emerging name in the bourbon industry, is making a significant splash with the grand opening of its visitor center and rickhouse at the beautiful WildHorse Ranch in College Station, Texas. Scheduled for this Saturday, August 8, this is not just a venue; it’s an immersive experience for all whiskey enthusiasts.

A Unique Experience Awaits

The spotlight of this new facility is the rickhouse, modeled after traditional Kentucky structures, where whiskey ages in carefully controlled environments. Here, guests will have the rare chance to get a firsthand look at the whiskey aging process, learning how each barrel contributes to the final product. According to Nelson Ingram, the Chief Marketing Officer of Unreined Whiskey, the unique combination of temperature and humidity at WildHorse Ranch is perfect for aging exceptional spirits, helping to develop a distinct flavor profile.

Architectural Excellence

This four-story, 30,000-square-foot facility is not only designed for functionality but also as a tribute to bourbon culture. Crafted by the esteemed Buzick Construction of Bardstown, Kentucky, it stands as a hallmark of craftsmanship, paying homage to the rich traditions of whiskey production.

The design aims to bring the essence of Kentucky's bourbon legacy into Texas while incorporating local artistry. Notably, a prominent piece by Houston artist Jesse de Leon enhances the aesthetic, bridging the gap between Texas creativity and whiskey craftsmanship, making the experience even more memorable.

Economic Boost for the Region

The impact of Unreined Whiskey’s opening extends beyond just bourbon. Jeremiah Cook, Assistant Director of Tourism at Visit College Station, highlighted how new attractions can significantly boost local tourism and support nearby businesses. It’s clear that the distillery is not just a new business; it’s a fresh engine for economic growth, providing a distinct Texas experience for residents and visitors alike.

The Craftsmanship Behind the Spirits

Unreined Whiskey's offerings will cater to whiskey lovers of all kinds. Guests can participate in guided tours, tasting events, watch parties, and private gatherings within the rickhouse’s exclusive lounge. The culinary experience will also feature the talents of restaurateur John Harvey Slocum, who will present delicious farm-to-table bison burgers sourced directly from the ranch itself. The culinary offerings promise to pair excellently with Unreined’s distinct cocktails, enhancing the overall experience.

Launching alongside the visitor center is the Unreined Wheated Bourbon— a 7-year blend of straight wheated bourbons distilled both in Kentucky and Texas, presented at a robust 104.2 proof. This new release signifies the brand’s commitment to quality and innovation in whiskey-making, ensuring that both newcomers and seasoned connoisseurs find something to enjoy.
