Exciting Events Await at OTOTEN2025 with Legendary Composers and Keynote Speakers

OTOTEN2025: A Celebration of Music and Audio

The Japan Audio Association (JAA), led by President Riko Ogawa, is thrilled to announce the upcoming event "OTOTEN2025," set to take place at the Tokyo International Forum on June 21-22, 2025. This event promises an enriching experience through panels, seminars, and special celebrations centered around the world of audio and music.

Keynote Speakers and Programs

In the G701 room on June 21, attendees can look forward to a keynote speech featuring Tatsuya Nomura, the organizer of this year's Music Awards Japan 2025 (MAJ), along with co-organizer Toyoharu Inaba and music journalist Noriyuki Shiba. They will engage in a lively discussion under the theme, "Connecting with the World: Illuminating the Future of Music." The conversation will delve into the significance of MAJ, reflections on the awards ceremony, and aspirations for the future of music.

The following day in room G701, game music composer Yuzo Koshiro will take center stage. He will share anecdotes from his early gaming experiences, his journey as a composer, and the integration of modern audio techniques. Participants will be treated to a listening sampling, showcasing his iconic works.

Additionally, the event will feature a popular request session on June 22, inviting participants to bring their favorite tracks, such as anime songs, game music, and VTuber songs, to the G701 room. This is a wonderful opportunity for attendees to enjoy content rarely heard at traditional audio events.

Student Seminars and Community Engagement

In room G410, operated by the AES Japan Student Branch, an immersive audio environment will be set up for student-focused seminars targeting those aspiring to work in the audio industry, including music university and audio vocational school students. A seminar encompassing a special listening session and talk will be delivered by Hideo Takada, who mixed the popular track "F.L.Y" by Spectrum with Dolby Atmos, along with recording director Mitsuaki Tamura. Please note that Tamura will only be present on June 21.

How to Participate

Entry to the student-preferred seminars will prioritize students. Reservations can be made through the official OTOTEN2025 website. While general attendees are welcome, the number of participants may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.

For seminars in room G410, no prior registration is required. Participants are welcome to enter directly; however, it is advised to arrive at least 15 minutes early due to the first-come-first-served basis.

OTOTEN2025 Registration

To enter OTOTEN2025, pre-registration is mandatory. Interested parties can register through the official website to ensure entry. The event will run from June 21 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and June 22 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Tokyo International Forum, located at Marunouchi 3-5-1, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
