From August 8 to 11, the aquarium will extend its opening hours, welcoming guests until 8 PM. This unique experience is designed for families and individuals alike, offering a chance to enjoy the serene ambiance of summer evenings surrounded by marine life.

Location: Main Restaurant Terrace (Lecture Room in case of rain)

Penguin Dusk Guide

Traditional Japanese Taiko Drumming and Bon Odori

Date: August 8, 9, and 11
Time: Taiko Performance from 5:45 PM to 6:30 PM, Bon Odori from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM
Join us for live performances of traditional taiko drumming, embracing the spirit of summer celebrations along with community members performing the Bon Odori dance. The experience will be accompanied by the sounds of taiko from local ensembles.

Ocean-Themed Exhibits and Activities

• - Summer Festival Exhibit: Open from August 1 to August 31, enjoy displays featuring marine life associated with summer festivals.
• - Kamishibai Storytelling: Engaging storytelling sessions centered around ocean life, conducted by volunteers from Tokyo Sea Life Volunteers, will be held from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
• - Ice Sculpture Demonstration: On August 10 at 4:30 PM, watch as skilled artisans create ice sculptures inspired by ocean creatures!
• - Hand-painted Summer Wind Chimes: Explore a lovely array of wind chimes, lovingly painted by our aquarium staff on display from August 1 to August 31.
