Upcoming Forum on Integrating Healthcare, Welfare, and ICT for Community Well-being

Upcoming Forum on Community Healthcare and ICT

On December 15, 2025, the Regional Healthcare and Welfare Information Coordination Council, supported by Seed Planning Inc., will host a forum titled "Integrating ICT for Community Residents' Healthcare, Welfare, and Health: Achieving Community Comprehensive Care through EHR and PHR."

The forum addresses the critical need for sustainable systems that connect healthcare, welfare, and health. As stated, merely adopting ICT will not enable local communities to thrive. What is needed now is to develop sustainable and interconnected systems that ensure continuous support.

What is the Regional Healthcare and Welfare Information Coordination Council?

Established to tackle the challenges in Japan's regional healthcare, welfare, and caregiving sectors, the Council focuses on achieving a sustainable community comprehensive care model through the utilization of ICT and healthcare data.

The Council serves as a platform not only for mutual exchange among members engaged in regional healthcare but also for communication and learning among various healthcare organizations, academic societies, industry associations, as well as governmental and corporate entities.

The ultimate goal is to create an information coordination system that allows citizens to access optimal healthcare and welfare services anytime and anywhere, thereby extending healthy life expectancy. By pooling knowledge among members, the Council aims to provide educational opportunities for future generations and foster mutual growth.

In tandem with improving regional healthcare coordination, the Council seeks to clarify the path forward in a rapidly advancing IT environment, aspiring to realize EHR (Electronic Health Records) and PHR (Personal Health Record) systems suitable for a 100-year lifespan.
