Experience the New 'TAKAO 36 SAUNA' with Craft Beer on July 12, 2025

TAKAO 36 SAUNA: A Unique Wellness Destination in Takao

Nestled at the foot of the picturesque Takao Mountain in Tokyo, TAKAO 36 SAUNA is set to open its doors on July 12, 2025. Located just a 2-minute walk from the Keio Takao Station, this innovative facility pairs a craft beer brewery with a wellness sauna experience, providing an exciting retreat for both hiking enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation.

A Blend of Nature and Leisure

Takao Mountain has become increasingly popular among tourists, boasting a vibrant atmosphere enriched by the beauty of nature. TAKAO 36 SAUNA embodies this spirit, inviting guests to unwind after their outdoor adventures. The facility promises a sensory experience where visitors can savor seasonal aromas and breathtaking sky gradients, while enjoying high-quality craft beer brewed on-site.

Sauna Experiences Tailored to Your Preference

The sauna's layout is divided across two levels: the 3rd floor (Yama) and the 2nd floor (Fumoto). Each level offers unique sauna experiences to choose from. On the 3rd floor (Yama), you can enjoy a Japanese cypress sauna named fukurou and a barrel sauna called kawasemi, both set within an open terrace. The highlights here include a refreshing cold bath for cooling off and a spacious outdoor hot spring bath that allows you to soak in the natural surroundings. Embrace the gentle mountain breeze while experiencing outdoor relaxation at its best.

On the 2nd floor (Fumoto), guests can choose between two distinct sauna rooms: the anaguma, inspired by the serene darkness of the forest, and the musasabi, which features two stoves for a robust sauna experience. This level also offers a variety of baths, including two cold baths with different temperatures and depths, alongside a comfortable hot air bath. The semi-open relaxation terrace often hums with the soothing sounds of the nearby river, creating a tranquil atmosphere perfect for unwinding.

High-Quality Amenities for Ultimate Relaxation

At TAKAO 36 SAUNA, four uniquely designed sauna rooms are constructed primarily with Japanese cypress, promoting the highest levels of relaxation possible. Each room features the acclaimed Harvia sauna stoves, ensuring a superior experience. The main sauna operates an auto steam infusion system, while the specialized rooms offer options for self-steaming, effectively warming you to the core.

The spa harnesses the fresh underground water sourced directly from the Takao foothills, allowing guests to stretch out comfortably in the spacious bathing areas. The refreshing contrast between the heat of the sauna and the coolness of the baths offers an invigorating experience.

A Relaxing Lounge Experience

Visitors are welcomed at the 36 Lounge on the 2nd floor, designed for comfortable group rendezvous. Guests can also enjoy varied meals prepared in the facility's kitchen, perfect for the post-sauna experience. The standout order is the “36 Kamameshi”, a delightful rice dish featuring seasonal mountain vegetables and seafood, designed to satisfy your palate after a session of relaxation. To top it off, guests can enjoy an array of our expertly brewed delicious beers, carefully crafted to complement your meal.
