The Japan Professional Chefs Association, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is hosting the 42nd National Japanese Cuisine Competition aimed at preserving traditional culinary techniques and enhancing chef skills. The competition is organized by the Japan Professional Chefs Association, supported by various government agencies including the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Tourism Agency), Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and central vocational skill development organizations.

Highlights of the Exhibition


Creative Display Section


Chefs will showcase gastronomic art with imaginative culinary creations that reinterpret traditional dishes. This section celebrates the chef's artistry and allows them to express their unique vision.

Regional Cuisine Section


This part of the exhibition focuses on local dishes that utilize regional cultural traditions and ingredients, presenting the rich tapestry of Japan’s culinary landscape.

Skill Competition Section


Exquisite dishes will be displayed, reflecting advanced culinary techniques. Attendees can witness the craftsmanship of our chefs up close.

Note: All dishes displayed will be for viewing only. There will be no tasting or sales available during the event.

Awards


Each category will award a Minister's Prize for first place, along with various prizes from co-sponsoring organizations in recognition of outstanding skills and creativity.
