Vehicle Recalls Reach All-Time High Amid Summer Travel



As the summer months approach, many families are embarking on road trips across the United States. However, this joyful season is accompanied by an alarming rise in vehicle recalls, creating potential safety hazards for drivers. According to the recent Q2 2025 Recall Report from BizzyCar, more than 7.3 million vehicles were recalled between April and June, marking the highest quarterly total seen in over a year. This figure is also more than double the volume of recalls seen in the first quarter of the year.

Ford Takes the Lead in Recalls



Among the manufacturers involved, Ford Motor Company stands out, having recalled over 3.3 million vehicles across 49 separate recall campaigns. This accounts for nearly half of all recalls in the second quarter. Significantly, nearly 95% of the recalled vehicles possess defects that could lead to crashes or injuries if not promptly addressed. Ryan Maher, the CEO of BizzyCar, emphasized the urgency for drivers to have necessary repairs completed, as many of these issues pose serious safety concerns.
