BayCare's Leadership Evolution

On January 15, 2025, BayCare Health System, the largest healthcare provider in West Central Florida, made a noteworthy announcement regarding the appointment of its new Chief Human Resources Officer, alongside significant changes in responsibilities for other top leaders. This restructuring comes in response to the anticipated retirements of several key executives, marking a pivotal moment for the organization.

New Chief Human Resources Officer

Nikki Daily has been appointed as the Chief Team Resources Officer, effective March 1, 2025. With a long-standing career at BayCare since 1998, Daily has risen through the ranks, showcasing exemplary leadership and dedication. Previously serving as the Vice President for Total Rewards, she has been instrumental in developing innovative compensation and benefits programs. Her efforts have contributed to BayCare's recognition as a high-quality employer, consistently featuring in national lists such as the Top 10 of the 2024 PEOPLE® Companies that Care by Great Place To Work® and PEOPLE® magazine.

Changes in Executive Roles

Other significant changes include the promotion of Lou Galdieri to Chief Administrative Officer, effective March 30, 2025. Galdieri, who has a nursing background, joined BayCare in 2000 and has a wealth of experience in planning and operations. He has previously held various leadership positions, including President of Morton Plant Hospital. In his new role, he will maintain oversight of critical services while also expanding his responsibilities to include construction, safety, security, and supply chain management.

Additionally, Kimberly Guy will transition to the role of Chief Operating Officer, also effective March 30, 2025. With extensive experience in healthcare operations, she began her career at REX Healthcare and transitioned to BayCare in 2005. Her leadership has been vital in the management of multiple hospitals within the BayCare system, and she will now be tasked with overseeing the operations of all 16 BayCare hospitals, including the future BayCare Hospital Manatee expected to open in 2028.
