Essential Turbines Inc. Expands European Operations
On July 22, 2025, Essential Turbines Inc. (ETI), a leading provider in engine and component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, announced a significant milestone: the successful acquisition of AeroMaritime Mediterranean Ltd. (AML). This expansion allows ETI to enhance its operations in Europe by rebranding AeroMaritime as Essential Turbines Malta, positioning it as a new MRO hub in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
AeroMaritime Mediterranean has been operational in Malta for many years as a recognized Rolls-Royce authorized MRO center (AMROC). With over 45 years of experience, the newly established Essential Turbines Malta will leverage a skilled workforce of 36 MRO professionals, ensuring that the center is equipped with a 1,000 shp test cell and propeller test stand to meet diverse customer needs. This acquisition reinforces ETI's commitment to providing high-quality services globally and expanding their strategic footprint in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Gannon Gambeski, President of ETI, remarked on the acquisition, stating, "This is a pivotal moment for Essential Turbines. The addition of Essential Turbines Malta strengthens our ability to serve customers globally and reflects our commitment to scalable, strategic growth. We're proud to welcome the team to ETI and to build on the strong foundation established under ITP Aero."
This development is not only about expanding physical locations but also about reinforcing ETI's long-term growth strategy. The company's focus is on enhancing core market leadership in Rolls Royce's RR250/300 platforms and advancing additional strategic engine programs in collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
By integrating Essential Turbines Malta into its operational framework, ETI's customers can look forward to improved service delivery, with full adherence to existing service levels. The integration process aims to enhance consistency, foster collaboration, and deliver increased value across all ETI locations. This dedication to quality and service excellence underpins ETI's 'people-first' approach towards organizational growth.
Elias Lebovits, Managing Partner of Swift Anchor Holdings—the principal shareholder of ETI—commented on the strategic importance of this acquisition: "We are investing in people, platforms, and global reach to scale our mission. The acquisition of ETI Malta marks another important step in ETI's evolution as a high-performance MRO partner to the world's leading operators and OEMs."
