Third Annual Latino Leaders Index500
The Latino Leaders Index500, an initiative powered by BMO, has released its latest rankings, showcasing the top 500 Latino-owned enterprises in the United States based on their annual revenue. Now in its third year, this index serves as a vital reference point highlighting the immense contribution and influence of Latino entrepreneurs across diverse sectors such as engineering, construction, food and beverage, and technology.
After expanding its criteria from 200 to 500 businesses in 2024, the index now emphasizes the importance of recognizing and celebrating successful Latino-led ventures. It spans across 34 states, including Puerto Rico, with robust representation particularly evident in states like Texas, California, and Florida.
In 2024, the listed companies together generated a staggering combined revenue of $149 billion, with the top ten alone contributing 42% of this total. This underscores the critical role these companies play in the economy and their local communities. It's noteworthy that over 200 firms in this year's selection reported annual revenues exceeding $100 million.
Carvana reclaimed its position at the top of the Index, marking a remarkable 27% revenue increase from the previous year. Other industry giants featured in this year's line-up include MasTec, TelevisaUnivision, and Goya, each demonstrating consistent growth and resilience.
Eduardo Tobon, the Director of the Latino Segment at BMO, expressed his pride in the achievements of this unique group of entrepreneurs, stating, “Observing the ongoing success of dominant players like Carvana is a reflection of the persistent drive, innovation, and impact that Latino entrepreneurs wield. At BMO, we are committed to our purpose of fostering the good in business and life by equipping our clients with essential financial tools, knowledge, and connections needed to augment their success.”
