Leetx Unveils EcoMove: Transforming Press-Fit Systems
Leetx, a leading provider of industrial fastening and assembly technology, has officially launched EcoMove, its innovative electric cylinder designed to streamline the integration of automated press-fit stations. This cutting-edge system addresses common challenges faced by system integrators and manufacturers who often struggle with sourcing various components from multiple suppliers. Moreover, it aims to significantly reduce both setup time and project risk associated with the integration process.
The Challenge of Integration
Setting up automated press-fit stations typically requires an extensive effort, often consuming 40 to 100 hours for integration and troubleshooting. This labor-intensive approach not only hampers efficiency but also results in a non-standard system setup that is prone to errors, with limited data traceability. Furthermore, engineers are burdened with the task of writing custom programs for force control and managing a complex assembly of motors, controllers, sensors, and wiring from different manufacturers.
Introducing EcoMove
EcoMove revolutionizes this process by combining essential components into a single unit, which includes a mechanical assembly, servo drive, control system, pressure sensor, and visualization software. With EcoMove, the procurement of individual parts is eliminated as it offers a pre-integrated solution that mitigates the need for customized programming. The system can be set up in approximately two hours, covering a force range from 10 to 60 kN. This makes it suitable for a variety of applications, including pressing, riveting, spring testing, bending, and alignment tasks in automotive manufacturing, electric vehicle battery production, as well as general industrial automation.
Key Features of EcoMove
- - Real-time Force Monitoring: The system includes capabilities for real-time force-path monitoring with pass/fail assessment for each cycle.
- - Adaptive Speed Control: It keeps overshoot of force under 2%, ensuring precision during operations.
- - Program Storage: Up to 32 process programs can be stored for quick changes in production requirements.
- - Protocol Support: EcoMove supports multiple industrial bus protocols and standard inputs/outputs, enhancing its compatibility within existing setups.
- - Energy Efficiency: Compared to hydraulic alternatives, EcoMove boasts a 20-fold reduction in energy consumption and operates at a noise level of just 75 dB.
All core modules, including mechanical construction, control systems, and software, are developed in-house at Leetx's research and engineering centers located in Shanghai and Wuxi. Critical components undergo high-precision machining at the company's facilities, ensuring superior quality and performance.
The Benefits of a Unified System
Samuel Chen, Head of International Business at Leetx, emphasizes the advantages of EcoMove, stating, "System integrators often spend weeks assembling press stations from diverse components without standardized quality assurance or data output. EcoMove offers a fully integrated system with built-in process monitoring and traceability, allowing engineers to focus on application results instead of component integration."
EcoMove is CE certified and is now available for purchase. Support for European clients will be provided through Leetx's subsidiary in Germany.
