Pacini was chosen following an extensive national search conducted by Prodigy Search. His impressive career spans over two decades at the cross-section of sports management, strategic marketing, and philanthropic endeavors. His leadership skills are backed by practical experience and extensive knowledge in these critical areas. His journey in the sports sector began in the NBA's Global Marketing Partnerships division and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He subsequently stepped into roles like Vice President of Business Development at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, displaying his knack for creating impactful partnerships and fostering community engagement. His nonprofit focus includes pivotal roles such as National Development Director for Cycling at the American Heart Association and later, General Manager and Vice President for Legends Global.

In his most recent endeavor, Pacini founded ion Philanthropy, an organization that provided strategic advisory services in fundraising, marketing, and analytics for various nonprofits and sports entities. His experiences have prepared him well to tackle the challenges and opportunities that the Green Sports Alliance faces moving forward.

Pacini's academic background includes an MBA and a Master of Sports Administration from Ohio University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from The College of Wooster.
