Metro Diner Expands its Flavorful Reach
The renowned Metro Diner has officially opened a new restaurant in the charming city of Brunswick, Georgia, marking another milestone in its rapid expansion across the southern states. Situated at 10515 Canal Crossing, this 3,300-square-foot establishment boasts seating for 116 guests, promising a warm and inviting atmosphere for families and food lovers alike.
Owned and operated by Managing Partner Stephen Blackburn, a Savannah native with over 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, the diner focuses on providing an exceptional dining experience that blends comfort food with high-quality service. Blackburn, who previously worked in various roles within Metro Diner, is ecstatic about the opportunity to serve the community of Brunswick.
“We’re excited to open our doors to the Brunswick community,” Blackburn shares. “Our aim is to be the go-to destination for breakfast lovers craving all-day options, complemented by amazing fried chicken and a variety of other homestyle dishes that evoke memories of cherished meals.”
Metro Diner is famous for its generous portion sizes and its all-day breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, showcasing a comforting menu that includes favorites like omelets, breakfast platters, BBQ ribs, and juicy Angus beef burgers. One standout dish is the much-acclaimed Iron City Meatloaf, which was highlighted on the Food Network’s
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, hosted by Guy Fieri. This dish features a perfectly griddle-seared meatloaf, rich brown gravy, creamy mashed potatoes, and French-style green beans, all working in harmony to provide a true taste of American comfort food.
Another notable culinary delight is the Fried Chicken Waffle, which consists of crispy fried chicken served atop a freshly made Belgian waffle, garnished with rich strawberry butter and paired with a sweet-and-spicy signature sauce. As Blackburn fondly recalls of his first experience at Metro Diner, “It was love-at-first-bite thanks to the unbeatable Fried Chicken Waffle.”
Metro Diner believes in delivering what they call “Serious Diner Food,” focusing on meals that not only fill the stomach but also warm the heart. With a diverse menu to cater to a variety of tastes, Blackburn is hopeful that patrons will return time and time again to explore all that the diner has to offer.
In addition to focusing on its culinary offerings, Blackburn is committed to becoming involved in the local community. He is a proud member of the Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce and plans to support the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. To honor their service, Metro Diner also offers a 10% discount to first responders and active or retired military personnel.
