A Unique Artistic Experience at COPYCENTER GALLERY
From October 2 (Thursday) to October 7 (Tuesday), 2025, the COPYCENTER GALLERY in Itabashi, Tokyo, will host two remarkable solo exhibitions: "Dual Voices" by Keito Mitoma and "Folded Room" by Sennosuke Tanaka. This exceptional event promises to be a feast for the senses as two talented young artists present their distinct interpretations of art.
Exhibition Details
Both exhibitions will be open daily from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the final day reducing to 5:00 PM. Entrance is free, welcoming art enthusiasts and curious visitors alike to engage with the thought-provoking works. The gallery is located at 4-4-2 Mikuni Building, Itabashi, Tokyo, 173-0004, and there are no closed days during this exhibition period.
The Artists
Keito Mitoma, born in 2001 in Hyogo, is currently pursuing a master's degree in conceptual design at Kyoto City University of Arts. His art often revolves around seemingly contradictory themes like "dynamic stillness." Through installations that incorporate audio and video elements, Mitoma invites viewers to experience new perspectives on perception. His previous exhibitions include a group show titled "Floating Island" at Hakari Contemporary in Kyoto (2025) and a solo exhibition at Kumagusuku SAS in Kyoto (2023). Sennosuke Tanaka, also born in 2001 but in Kyoto, is studying printmaking at Kyoto City University of Arts. He focuses on the discrepancies in visual perception between himself and others, primarily through photography. Tanaka's poignant works capture unique perspectives hidden within everyday scenes. His notable exhibitions include a dual exhibition titled "The Nothing of Photography / The Number 2 for Photography" at Artspot Korin in Kyoto (2024). He has been recognized with awards such as the Mayor's Prize at the Kyoto City University of Arts Exhibition (2025) and the Taisuke Koyama Award at the Tokyo Frontline Photo Award (2025). The Theme of the Exhibition
In a shared space, these two artists present works inspired by very different themes—Mitoma's installations focus on the concept of "voice," while Tanaka's photography hones in on "cornered spaces." This juxtaposition creates a dialogue between the artworks, allowing visitors to ponder how distinct mediums and perspectives can resonate or clash within the same exhibition.
