Dive into the Extraordinary: 2nd Mirai Music Resonance Chorus Concert
On September 2, 2026, at 19:00, the highly anticipated
2nd Mirai Music Resonance Chorus Concert will take place at the prestigious Dai-ichi Seimei Hall in Chuo, Tokyo. This unique event is more than just a concert; it offers a rare opportunity for amateur participants to share the stage with some of Japan's finest musicians and performers, including acclaimed baritone
Tomo Hirotaka, tenor
Jun Suzuki, and the extraordinary
Akihiro Miura, the concertmaster of the Tokyo Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets for this remarkable concert are now available through
Confetti, managed by
Long Run Planning Co., Ltd. based in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
A Transformative Musical Experience
The
Mirai Music Resonance initiative fosters a distinct philosophy inspired by the spirit of
“Danna-shu,” a concept rooted in Edo-period Japan. This philosophy encourages the bridging of societal divides between creators and patrons, advocating that cultural support should encompass both financial backing and active participation. Rather than merely observing, participants will immerse themselves in the art, enhancing their lives through direct involvement in the music-making process.
As the general director and soprano
Toshie Kakizawa states, “This is not just an amateur chorus concert. The slogan ‘Experience the Extraordinary Together’ embodies the essence of our mission. General participants, regardless of their prior experience in choir singing, are invited to undergo eight months of diligent practice before they step onto the stage as equals alongside some of the world’s top musical talents.”
Program Preview
The concert will feature an exciting repertoire, including excerpts from
G.F. Handel’s oratorio “Messiah,” a piece from
Masaru Sato’s cantata “Songs of the Earth,” and the premiere of a new work titled
“Moonlit Beach” by
Ari Onishi.
