Exploring the History of Kumagaya Campus Through a Special Panel Exhibition

The Special Exhibition: "The Journey of Kumagaya Campus"

Rissho University, located in Shinagawa, Tokyo, is excited to announce a special panel exhibition titled "The Journey of Kumagaya Campus." This exhibition will be held at the Kumagaya Campus Museum from November 30 to January 10, showcasing the rich history of this campus, which opened in 1967. As it approaches its 60th anniversary in two years, the exhibition offers a chance to reflect on the changes that have occurred over the decades.

Overview of the Exhibition

The Kumagaya Campus has evolved significantly since its establishment, and many of its original features have faded away over time. To honor its history, the exhibition will highlight various events and buildings featured in panels created for its 50th anniversary in 2017. The materials will be categorized into three sections: "Before the Establishment of Kumagaya Campus," "The Campus at Its Inception," and "The Junior College Division," allowing visitors to delve into the campus's past through historical documents and photographs.

Special Guided Tours

On select special opening days, the exhibition will provide visitors with an exciting opportunity for guided campus tours, led by the exhibition director. These tours will explore the journey of the Kumagaya Campus while reflecting on its past and showcasing its present. Participants are encouraged to join without prior registration, with the tours planned for approximately 30 minutes. All interested individuals should gather at the museum by 10:50 AM on the special opening days.
