Join the Foreign Currency Donation Campaign

The certified Non-Profit Organization Share: Citizens' Association for International Health Cooperation is launching a month-long Foreign Currency Donation Campaign from August 17 to September 13, 2026. The organization's target is to collect a total of 15kg worth of paper money and coins. The foreign currencies you donate will be exchanged and used to support maternal and child health activities in Cambodia and East Timor, as well as provide health aid to families with foreign roots living in Japan.

How Your Donations Make a Difference

Cambodia Initiatives

Your donation of just 4.3kg of foreign coins enables us to organize a single nutritious food workshop for undernourished children, who represent about 26% of the population in some areas of Cambodia. Approximately 1.5kg of collected foreign currency can facilitate one such workshop, helping infants grow healthily with proper nutritional guidance.

East Timor Initiatives

In remote areas of East Timor, even when healthcare workers are present, they often lack the necessary skills or knowledge to provide vital health services like vaccinations, making access to healthcare difficult. A donation of just 500g of foreign currency can fund a training session to develop healthcare personnel capable of safely administering vaccinations.

Support for Foreign Residents in Japan

Many foreign pregnant women and families living in Japan face language barriers that prevent them from receiving adequate maternal and child health services. Your generous donation of 5kg of foreign coins can help dispatch trained medical interpreters to allow these individuals to seek necessary medical treatment in their native languages, thus creating a secure healthcare environment.

What You Can Donate

We welcome foreign notes and coins from various countries, including US dollars, euros, Thai baht, Chinese yuan, South Korean won, and more. Even outdated or no longer accepted currencies are also accepted.

How to Send Your Donations

Feel free to send your donations in any envelope or package as long as they are secured properly to prevent any damage during transit. If you prefer, you can download a pre-made envelope from our website. Kindly note, to maximize the impact of your donations, we request that you cover the shipping costs.

Campaign Dates

The Foreign Currency Donation Campaign runs from August 17 to September 13, 2026.

Important Notes:

• - All foreign currency donations will remain anonymous.
• - We are unable to issue receipts for donations.
• - A thank-you card will be sent within two months of receiving your donation unless you specify “no card” on the envelope or note.
• - If sending coins, please label the envelope or shipping label as “Contains Metal.” For larger amounts, we recommend using a courier service.
