New Cross-regional Pilot Initiative for Post-Quantum Security in Financial Transactions

In an effort to bolster the security of digital asset transactions, the Responsible Fintech Institute (RFI) and Safeheron have initiated a groundbreaking pilot program focusing on post-quantum cryptography (PQC). This initiative is unprecedented, as it seeks to unify various financial institutions and regulators across different jurisdictions to assess quantum-resistant technology functionalities and interoperability in an increasingly digitized financial landscape.

Scheduled to run alongside advanced applications of multi-party computation (MPC) protocols, this pilot aims to implement the ML-DSA-65 standard defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Participants will engage in wallet creation and on-chain transactions within the secure environment of the NEAR testnet, solidifying the groundwork for a quantum-resilient financial infrastructure.
