BAYADA Home Health Care Welcomes Bryony Winn as New CEO to Foster Transformation in Healthcare
BAYADA Home Health Care Appoints Bryony Winn as CEO
In a pivotal move for the healthcare sector, BAYADA Home Health Care, one of the largest nonprofit providers of home health services in the United States, has officially appointed Bryony Winn as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This transition marks an important milestone as Bryony becomes the first non-family member to lead the organization, effective March 2, 2026. Her appointment signals a new era for the company, focusing on strengthening its mission to provide compassionate care for patients at home.
The announcement comes as David Baiada, the outgoing CEO, concludes an impactful eight-year tenure. He will transition to a role on the Board of Directors, where he will act as a senior advisor to Bryony. Mark Baiada, the founder of BAYADA and its current Chairman, emphasized the significance of this leadership change, stating that they sought a leader capable of steering the company into its next century. He expressed confidence that Bryony is well-equipped for this role, citing her deep commitment to improving the healthcare system and her impressive track record.
Bryony's career in healthcare has been marked by her ability to tackle pressing issues such as accessibility, equity, and the overall affordability of care. Before joining BAYADA, she served as the President of Carelon Health, under Elevance Health, where she oversaw a sizeable team that catered to nearly 100 million Americans. Her experience extends to leadership positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and consulting with McKinsey & Company. Recognized as one of the “Top Women Leaders in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare in 2024 and named among the “Top 50 Value-Based Care Thinkers” by Pearl Health, Bryony comes with a wealth of knowledge and respect in the industry.
Reflecting on her new role, Bryony stated, "Leading an organization like BAYADA is the opportunity of a lifetime. It’s a special organization that makes a real, tangible impact on people and health worldwide. I can’t wait to get started." This enthusiasm is indicative of her personal ethos towards healthcare, aligning with BAYADA’s core values of compassion and personal responsibility. She emphasizes the notion that healthcare is personal, and caring for others during vulnerable moments is not only a responsibility but also a privilege.
The search for the new CEO attracted numerous qualified candidates, highlighting the organization’s esteemed reputation. Teresa Carroll, Chair of the BAYADA Board Succession Committee, noted the overwhelming interest in the position and reiterated the uniqueness of BAYADA as a caregiving organization. The Board is optimistic about future growth opportunities under Bryony's leadership.
Founded in 1975, BAYADA Home Health Care has celebrated 50 years of service, becoming a trusted name in home health across the United States and beyond.
