Invesco Reports Impressive Financial Results for Q2 2026
Invesco Ltd. (NYSE: IVZ) has announced its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, showcasing remarkable achievements, particularly in net long-term inflows and overall revenue. The company reported record net long-term inflows of $45.1 billion for the current quarter, representing a significant increase compared to previous reports.
Significant Growth in Assets Under Management
As a result of these impressive inflows, Invesco's assets under management (AUM) surged to $2.5 trillion, marking a 14.4% increase from the preceding quarter. The impressive asset growth can be attributed primarily to the inflows from Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and Index products, particularly the popular QQQ funds, alongside contributions from the China joint venture and private markets.
Andrew Schlossberg, Invesco’s President and CEO, highlighted the momentum the company is experiencing in executing its strategic priorities. "The momentum we are building is noteworthy. For the first half of the year, we posted record net long-term inflows of $67 billion, or 7% annualized organic growth, and generated record net revenues, with a 17% increase over the same period last year," said Schlossberg during the financial report announcement.
Financial Highlights
The report reflected a substantial operating margin of 19.9% in Q2 2026, increased from 19.1% in the prior quarter, further enhanced by an adjusted operating margin of 37.5%. Invesco's continued focus on fiscal discipline resulted in flat expenses sequentially, creating significant operating leverage and leading to a 25% increase in adjusted earnings per share.(1)
During this period, Invesco also demonstrated its balance sheet strength by reducing net debt by over $450 million and increasing common share buybacks to $50 million, representing 1.9 million shares repurchased.
Analysis of Net Flows
Net long-term inflows reached $45.1 billion during Q2 2026, a notable increase from $21.8 billion recorded in Q1 2026. Retail investors contributed most with $47.3 billion in net long-term inflows; however, institutional investors faced $2.2 billion in net outflows. A geographic breakdown showed that the Americas yielded $30.8 billion in net long-term inflows, with the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions contributing $8.2 billion and $6.1 billion, respectively.
Revenue Growth and Cost Management
In terms of revenue, Invesco's operating revenues hit $1.825 billion, reflecting a 20.5% increase compared to $1.515 billion reported in Q2 2025. The remarkable revenue growth was attributed mainly to increases in investment management fees due to higher average AUM.
Operating expenses, however, increased slightly to $1.461 billion from $1.411 billion in the previous quarter, primarily driven by rising employee compensation costs. Yet, the company's disciplined expense management was evident as the increase in operating expenses was counterbalanced by their ability to streamline operational costs further.
Looking Ahead
Invesco's performance in Q2 2026 is a testament to its strategic execution in the competitive asset management landscape. With ongoing investments in products and a commitment to addressing changing global investment demands, Invesco is poised for continued growth.
As the company prepares for the second half of the year, Schiff reminds stakeholders of the importance of maintaining agile responses to market conditions, ensuring that Invesco delivers innovative investments and optimized solutions to both retail and institutional clients alike.
"We are dedicated to enhancing our product offerings and responsiveness to market trends, providing our clients with tailored solutions to navigate today’s financial environment. This strategy incentivizes sustained growth and performance that meets evolving client demands," stated Schlossberg.
In summary, Invesco's Q2 2026 financial results suggest promising prospects fueled by record inflows, substantial asset growth, and strategic financial management — reinforcing its position as a leader in asset management.
