Cierpa Secures Funding in a Successful Series B Closing Round

Cierpa Secures Additional Funding in Series B Round

Cierpa & Company, based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has recently announced the successful completion of the second closing of its Series B funding round. With a vision of creating a world where profit and sustainability are integrated, the company's platform—SmartESG—aims to standardize sustainability data and expand its offerings both domestically and internationally.

This funding round follows the initial closing announced in August 2025 and includes investments from existing shareholders, such as Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, along with new contributions from Sekisui House and Sekisui House Innovation & Communication. These investments are organized through the Corporate Venture Capital Fund, known as Sekisui House Investment Business Limited Partnership.

The second closing indicates a continued commitment from current investors and also includes participation from existing clients utilizing the SmartESG platform, enabling a collaborative effort towards sustainability practices. Specifically, Cierpa plans to facilitate sustainability-related data collection and reporting for its consolidated companies using the SmartESG Consolidation tool, based on criteria set by the Sustainability Standards Board of Japan (SSBJ).

Allocation of Funds

The recently secured capital is intended to focus on enhancing product development for SmartESG, promoting collaborative projects with CVCs and corporate partners, and strengthening the operational framework for domestic and international growth. Cierpa continues to strive for a hybrid financing scheme, combining equity and debt to maximize capital efficiency and maintain flexibility for growth investments.
