Introducing the WISTERIA Color Variant of the GLISSE Electric BMX by WO Bikes

The New GLISSE Electric BMX: WISTERIA Edition

WO Bikes has recently unveiled an exciting addition to its electric mobility lineup: the WISTERIA color variant of the GLISSE electric BMX. Set to launch on March 7, 2026, alongside the third production lot, this limited edition promises to capture the hearts of cycling enthusiasts and urban commuters alike.

What is GLISSE?

GLISSE stands at the intersection of electric mobility and BMX riding, offering a revolutionary urban gliding experience. After eight years of conceptualization and four years of practical development, WO has created a bike that combines electric assistance with the agility of BMX biking. Designed for the steep hills of Tokyo, GLISSE allows riders to traverse with elegance—neither rushing nor feeling fatigued. Instead, it invites riders to enjoy the glide while connecting with the city around them.

The philosophy behind WO's vision of the future of e-bikes stems from a lifestyle rooted in outdoor activities like skiing, surfing, and cycling. Our active community has brought its unique vibe to this innovative mobility solution. Through this journey, WO has recognized that some bicycles require electric assistance, while others simply enhance the riding experience. For instance, cargo bikes that carry children are often heavy and benefit immensely from electric support, while the boom in fat bikes reflects similar demands for ease and accessibility.

This understanding led WO to explore the potential of electric assistance for BMX bikes. Traditionally, BMXs are lightweight and geared for tricks, lacking efficiency for longer rides. With the integration of electric assistance, a whole new world opens up—offering effortless acceleration and a sense of weightlessness as it climbs hills.

Thus, the GLISSE was born, a name inspired by the French word for “glide,” capturing the essence of smooth riding akin to surfing. Its foundation is a simple 20-inch BMX frame equipped with a 36V 13Ah battery and a potent 250W motor, emphasizing both design and functionality without compromise. This standout bike comes in a variety of colors, including BLACK, PISTACHIO, MOSS, BURGUNDY, and the newly launched WISTERIA.
