A New Alliance in Neural Regeneration
In a significant development for regenerative medicine, Stem Cell Institute, based in Tokyo, has announced a partnership with Neurotech Medical from Osaka. This collaboration, set to begin on July 3, 2026, will focus on the application of
cord-derived stem cell culture supernatant known as
Family Serum® in the field of neural regeneration. This partnership aims to create a system for providing novel medical services that leverage the expertise of both organizations.
Overview of the Partnership
Stem Cell Institute, known for having a
99% domestic share in the perinatal tissue-derived cell banking sector, will manufacture
Family Serum® under the guidance of physicians from Neurotech Medical’s partner clinics.
Neurotech Medical, on the other hand, combines its patented technology ‘Targeted Neural Regenerative Medicine™’ with its unique ‘Targeted Rehabilitation™’ techniques to offer a service called
ReNeuro®. Through this partnership, physicians at partner clinics will consider the use of
Family Serum® as an option in the realm of free medical practice tailored to the needs of their patients.

Family Serum®, produced from cord-derived stem cells stored at Stem Cell Institute, is a unique service currently offered exclusively in Japan. This proprietary service is trademark registered and aims to provide new options for regenerative medicine using the child’s own umbilical cord-derived cells.
Neurotech Medical’s ReNeuro®
Neurotech Medical provides the
ReNeuro® service, which integrates its innovative neural regeneration and rehabilitation techniques, offered under the supervision of qualified physicians. The partnership will allow doctors to utilize
Family Serum® as one of several treatment options, based on their clinical judgment.
It is important to note that the collaboration’s impact on Stem Cell Institute’s performance is deemed minor.
