BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments Joins hlpy’s Shareholding Structure

In a significant development for the European mobility sector, hlpy, an innovative Italian scale-up, has announced a successful funding round of €20 million. This funding will help hlpy enhance its digital and AI-driven platform, which is reimagining vehicle and mobility assistance across Europe.

Alongside this financial boost, hlpy has also revealed its acquisition of Carvoilà, a company specializing in vehicle transport and logistics services. This strategic purchase marks a pivotal moment in hlpy's agenda to expand its service offerings and solidify its position as a leading provider of comprehensive vehicle services across the continent.

BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments (BBEI), a firm known for investing in minority stakes in Italian SMEs, will now be part of hlpy’s shareholding structure. This partnership aligns with hlpy’s vision of growing through strategic acquisitions and external partnerships, particularly within the vehicle service industry. By integrating Carvoilà’s expertise, hlpy aims to develop a more cohesive service model that spans the entire automotive value chain, from roadside assistance to logistics and maintenance.

Valerio Chiaronzi, CEO of hlpy, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the development, stating, "We are evolving our platform to ensure that it effectively combines technology, data, and operational networks to support vehicles across all pre- and post-sales services. The inclusion of BBEI as an investor reinforces trust in our business model and will enable us to accelerate both organic growth and growth through acquisitions."

This funding round and acquisition represent major milestones for hlpy as it transitions from merely a digital platform into an integrated ecosystem capable of linking resources and expertise across the automotive service sector. The integration of Carvoilà will enhance hlpy’s ability to offer superior logistics solutions, further innovating how road transport is organized and perceived.

Francesca Vidali and Michela Conti, founders of Carvoilà, will also join the hlpy team, bringing invaluable insights to help scale and exploit operational synergies within the newly formed entity. "We are thrilled to become part of the hlpy Group, as we were founded with the vision to innovate and enhance vehicle logistics. This merger is an important step towards realizing that vision on a larger scale,” said Vidali.

In addition to reinforcing its operational capabilities, this acquisition places hlpy on track to achieve projected recurring revenues of over €100 million by 2027. Since its inception in 2020, hlpy has successfully amassed total funding of €45 million and executed two significant acquisitions, exemplifying its robust growth trajectory in the rapidly evolving mobility sector.

The infusion of capital and expertise from both the BNP Paribas BNL investment and Carvoilà's integration into hlpy highlights the potential for transformative change in vehicle services, articulating a clear path for future growth and innovation in the industry. As hlpy embarks on this ambitious journey, stakeholders and consumers alike will be watching closely to see how this integrated approach will redefine mobility assistance services across Europe.
