Summer Camp in Japan 2026: An Overview
The Global Learner’s Institute (GLI) is excited to announce the upcoming Summer Camp in Japan 2026, an immersive overnight program designed to connect students with diverse cultures while enhancing their English skills. Scheduled from July 18 to July 26, 2026, the camp will take place at the beautiful Miura Coast in Kanagawa Prefecture, providing an ideal setting for learning and personal growth.
What's Special About This Program?
This unique camp aims to gather participants from various countries, including the UK, Hawaii, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Uzbekistan. During the 9-day program, students will engage in a community living experience where English serves as the common language. It goes beyond traditional language receiving by offering them a chance to make decisions and act in a multicultural environment.
Building Critical Thinking Skills
At the heart of this camp is a focus on cultivating critical thinking through “Culture x Inquiry” programs. Students will delve into various aspects of Japanese culture, such as traditional Taiko drumming, calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and Kintsugi (the art of repairing pottery with gold). Led by experts in each field, participants will not only experience these activities but will also be encouraged to process and articulate their thoughts, a skill that is beneficial in both domestic and international educational pursuits.
Educational Seminars for Parents
In conjunction with the camp details, GLI will be hosting educational seminars tailored for parents. Topics covered will include:
- - The necessity of junior high school entrance exams
- - Fundamental differences between domestic and international educational pathways
- - Shared characteristics of successful future learners
These seminars aim to shift perspectives from merely preparing for exams to viewing education as a crucial element in life planning. Engaging with the camp’s information alongside these topics will provide deeper insights into the necessity of such programs today.
