In a significant move to enhance the quality of health screening for the elderly,
MilleNia, a subsidiary of the
Centcare Group, has been officially appointed to manage the
2023 Head Health Check program in
Musashimurayama, Tokyo. Led by Mayor
Yasuda Yamazaki, this initiative is a progressive effort aimed at the early detection and intervention of dementia among citizens aged 65 and above.
Overview of the Head Health Check Program
The Head Health Check program is fundamentally designed to address the increasing concerns regarding cognitive decline in seniors. It is a comprehensive health screening initiative targeted at residents of Musashimurayama who are 65 years or older. The program combines nurse-led assessments using a structured checklist with MilleNia’s own cognitive function assessment tool, the
Head Health Check®, marking an important step in proactive healthcare delivery.
With the support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, this program stands out as one of the pioneering efforts within the metropolitan framework for early dementia diagnosis and management.
