Overview


Located on the northern coast of the Sea of Japan, Noshiro City is blessed with rich nature, including the notable black pine forests known as 'Kaze no Matsubara.' Historically, this region has dealt with strong seasonal winds from the northwest, particularly in winter. What was once seen as a negative legacy has now transformed into an asset thanks to the growth of wind power generation. Noshiro City has become a frontrunner in the wind energy sector, actively working on initiatives linked to the 'offshore areas of Yatsushiro Town and Noshiro City.'
