CTA Hosts Startup Pitch Competition in Lisbon



On June 23, 2025, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) will organize an exciting pitch competition for innovative startups in Lisbon, coinciding with its annual CEO Summit. This event will bring together visionary startups and the region's leading investors, offering a platform for innovative ideas to shine. The winning startup will be awarded a free exhibition space at Eureka Park during the CES 2026 in Las Vegas, one of the most recognized stages for startups worldwide.

Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the CTA, emphasized the significance of Lisbon as a hub of innovation, stating, "Lisbon is one of the capitals of innovation in Europe, making it the perfect place to host this pitch competition. We are excited to spotlight some of Europe's most dynamic new startups and look forward to welcoming the winner to CES 2026 next January."

Spotlighting Portuguese Innovators
The competition will feature five remarkable Portuguese startups presenting their innovative solutions to a panel of esteemed judges and investors. The panel will consist of industry leaders, including:

  • - Cintia Mano, CEO and Co-founder at COREangels
  • - Tomás Penaguião, Partner at Bynd Venture Capital
  • - João Pereira, Director at Digital Portugal Ventures

The participating startups include:
  • - Bandora Systems: A SaaS platform utilizing machine learning to optimize energy use in buildings.
  • - Enhanced Fertility: Home testing solutions that provide data-driven fertility treatments.
  • - iLoF: Leveraging AI to accelerate personalized medicine discovery and development.
  • - Mantis-AI: A media technology company transforming videos and raw data through AI.
  • - Musiversal: A subscription service facilitating musical collaboration and production.
