DB HiTek to Participate in PCIM 2025: A Leap in European Market Engagement

DB HiTek, a leading 8-inch foundry, is gearing up to make its mark on the European semiconductor market by participating in the PCIM 2025, the largest trade show dedicated to power semiconductors in Europe. This annual event will be held from May 6 to May 8, 2025, in Nuremberg, Germany. This strategic participation is part of Hey's ongoing efforts to boost its global outreach and forge stronger ties within the European tech community.

During the event, DB HiTek plans to showcase its latest technological advancements in BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS), special CMOS sensors, and next-generation SiC (Silicon Carbide) and GaN (Gallium Nitride) power semiconductors. The company is actively developing processes for these cutting-edge materials, which are projected to catalyze significant growth in their operations.

In recent months, DB HiTek successfully attained foundational specifications for their 8-inch SiC wafers through extensive internal processes. The company aims to enhance yield and reliability throughout 2025, with plans to roll out this technology to clients by the end of the year.

Moreover, the HiTek team has confirmed a successful 8-inch GaN process featuring 650V HEMT characteristics and is set to finalize reliability validations within the same timeframe. A dedicated GaN MPW service is also anticipated to launch in October, further supporting customer product evaluations.

According to research firm Yole Développement, the global market for SiC and GaN power semiconductors is expected to grow substantially, expanding from $3.6 billion in 2024 to $7.6 billion by 2027, at a compound annual growth rate of 27.6%. This underscores the immense potential that lies ahead for the power semiconductor sector.

Reflecting on their participation in PCIM 2025, DB HiTek emphasized the importance of this event, stating, "This tradeshow will be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our recognized capabilities in supporting foundry-less customers and collaborating with global partners within the European market."

Currently, DB HiTek is mass-producing chips for 400 clients, having already shipped 6 million 8-inch wafers for both analog and power semiconductor applications. The company has also acquired processing technologies for specialized CMOS sensors, including X-ray sensors, Global Shutter technology, and SPADs, and is actively engaged in high-volume production across various partners. DB HiTek's semiconductor applications serve diverse sectors, including mobile, consumer, and industrial markets, with an increasing share in automotive sectors.
