Cocoo Corporation's Role in Tokyo's Digital Transformation
Cocoo Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is excited to announce its selection to participate in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's initiative, "Support for Digital Transformation through Reskilling by Startups." This project aims to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the region to harness advanced digital technologies. Specifically, Cocoo is tasked with providing cutting-edge reskilling courses focused on key areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation (DX), and data analytics.
Objective of the Initiative
The primary goal of this initiative is to enable SMEs in Tokyo to learn and integrate advanced digital technologies that address their present-day needs. Through practical and hands-on training, companies can increase their competency in utilizing these tools effectively. Each participating business can receive up to 1 million yen (tax included) to cover the costs of these educational courses, allowing broader access for SMEs that might otherwise not afford such reskillings.
Cocoo plans to roll out three specialized training courses designed to tackle the pressing challenges faced by businesses in their digital journey. These courses will enhance digital skills and also address the ongoing shortage of trained personnel in the field of digital transformation.
Addressing the Challenges
Many SMEs in Tokyo face daunting challenges in the race for digital competitiveness. A significant proportion report lacking specialized IT personnel to spearhead these transitions. Coupled with the high demands of daily operations, many business leaders find themselves at a loss regarding where to begin their digitalization efforts. In light of government schemes like IT implementation subsidies and human resource development support grants, the necessity for workforce development in digital skills has grown remarkably.
Cocoo has a successful track record, having trained over 4,000 digital professionals, advocating for a bottom-up approach to DX that aligns closely with business operations. By creating hands-on workshops focused on building practical skills, Cocoo ensures ongoing support throughout the implementation phase, solidifying its commitment to fostering a workforce capable of steering businesses toward success in the digital age.
