NAKED, INC., a prominent creative company based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is set to transform Daigo Temple in Kyoto into a spectacular venue for cherry blossom viewing with its upcoming collaboration event, "NAKED meets UNESCO World Heritage Daigo Temple - Daigo Hanami." Running from March 27 to April 12, 2026, this event will showcase a variety of immersive activities centered around the beauty of cherry blossoms under the night sky.

A Special Limited Edition Goshuin

One of the highlights of the event will be a uniquely designed Goshuin, available in limited quantities. This special commemorative stamp features an elegant nighttime sakura design, and will be issued at a dedicated corner near the Kannon Hall for attendees of the event. It is priced at 1,000 yen per stamp, and given the limited nature of this offering, it will only be available until supplies last during the evening-only events.

Illuminated Five-Story Pagoda and Tea Ceremony Art

Visitors will be treated to a splendid tea ceremony experience at the foot of the nationally designated treasure, the Five-Story Pagoda. This experience uniquely blends traditional tea artistry with NAKED's advanced projection technology, creating a stunning visual spectacle. Guests can enjoy Uji matcha prepared by Fukujuen while interacting with digital art performances that respond to the graceful movements of the tea ceremony. There will be general seating for 1,000 yen and premium seating, limited to just 24 people per day, for 1,500 yen, offering special souvenirs to take home along with an intimate view of the enchanting light displays.

Traditional Candle Workshop and Merchandise

The event will also host a traditional Japanese candle-making workshop, allowing participants to experience the rich heritage of Kyoto’s craftsmanship. This engaging cultural activity invites guests to create their own candles, providing a wonderful keepsake to remember their time at the cherry blossom festival.

Workshop participation will be available at 1,500 yen.

Seasonal Food and Drinks

The food area will feature a delightful selection of seasonal dishes, including Kyoto-style oden and cherry blossom lattes, complemented by a range of teas such as hojicha, sencha, and genmaicha. Menu prices include oden for 600 yen, cherry blossom lattes for 600 yen, and tea for 300 yen.

Special Rental Offer

Visitors who present a daily subway or bus ticket during the event's run will be eligible for a complimentary rental of the unique "NAKED Distance Lantern®," usually available for 500 yen. This offer is limited to those who present a same-day ticket, subject to availability.

The installation titled "Spring Lanterns at the Nio Gate" invites guests to step through the illuminated gates of the temple, welcoming them with lanterns adorned with cherry blossom patterns. Projections on the National Treasure "Main Hall"

A stunning projection mapping show on the national treasure, the Main Hall, will highlight traditional patterns and the history of Daigo Temple in collaboration with JR Tokai's "Let's Go to Kyoto!" initiative. Evening Tea in the Presence of Cherry Blossoms

At the Five-Story Pagoda, guests can relax and enjoy tea and confections amidst a backdrop of glowing sakura. With no prior reservation needed, this tea experience is an unmissable opportunity to indulge in both taste and visual beauty amidst nature.

Magical Cherry Blossom Moments by Benten Pond

Guests can also enjoy the mesmerizing scene at Benten Pond, where reflections of the illuminated Benten Shrine and cherry blossoms create a tranquil environment, perfect for savoring the beauty of the changing seasons.
