Monster Army Riders Dominate at 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series



This past weekend, the third round of the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series took place at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah, and the Monster Army mountain biking team proved their mettle once again with impressive performances across various categories. From July 24 to 27, over competitors from around the globe converged to witness the thrill and intensity of downhill racing in one of the sport's most technically challenging environments.

The 17-year-old Alex Mallen, representing Monster Army, led a remarkable sweep of the Cat 1 Junior Men 17-18 podium, completing the downhill course in an astonishing time of 205.766 seconds. This remarkable achievement positioned him more than three seconds ahead of his nearest rival, showcasing the skill and preparation he has honed over the years. With fellow teammates Ryder Lawrence and Kai Burleson also claiming the second and third spots respectively, the podium sweep highlighted the strength and depth of talent within the team.

In the Pro Men Division, Dante Silva from San Diego delivered a notable performance as he secured second place with a time of 204.208 seconds. Coming off a third-place finish at a previous event, he displayed remarkable consistency and determination in a highly competitive field. His performance was marked by the fastest split times on both Split 1 and Split 2, proving that he is one to watch this season.

Not to be outdone, the Pro Women Division saw the talented Kallie Stewart, just 16 years old and representing Arizona, capture third place with a finish time of 228.378 seconds. Her recent title as the Southeast Pro Champion further solidifies her rising status in the sport, as she continues to impress her peers and spectators alike.

The momentum didn’t stop there; the Cat 1 Junior Women 17-18 Division also showcased Monster Army excellence with Samantha Porras and Sara Ligman finishing in second and third places, respectively. Porras completed the course in 230.152 seconds, demonstrating her skill and composure under pressure, while Ligman clinched third with a time of 232.804 seconds.

Additionally, the Cat 1 Junior Men 15-16 Division featured Connor Knipscheer from Yucaipa, California, who finished in second place with a completion time of 211.282 seconds. This performance highlights the depth of talent at a young age emerging from the Monster Army team.

Rounding up a fantastic race weekend was the Cat 1 Junior Women 15-16 Division where Ainsley Wolf from Colorado took home third place with a time of 241.477 seconds.

The conclusion of the event saw the Monster Army team proudly securing eight podium positions, including a remarkable victory. These achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the athletes and coaching staff.

Looking ahead, the next round of the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series is set to take place at Big Bear Lake, California, from July 31 to August 3.
