TableCheck FastPass to Facilitate Guinness Record Event for Soba Noodles
Japan's culinary landscape is set to witness an extraordinary event spearheaded by the renowned noodle manufacturer, Munekane. Scheduled for
May 11, 2025, in
Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, this event isn't just any food fair; it is a bold attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the
most servings of soba noodles sold in eight hours, building upon their previous success of serving 4,013 bowls. This year, Munekane aims to hit an ambitious target of
10,000 servings of the traditional soba dish.
To enhance the guest experience and tackle the challenges of long lines observed at the last event,
TableCheck, a Tokyo-based restaurant technology company, is introducing their
FastPass service. This service allows guests to skip the long queues that characterized the previous event, where over
1,000 attendees had to wait up to
three hours to savor their soba noodles. With the FastPass, attendees will be able to quickly enjoy their meals, providing a more comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone involved.
The FastPass will offer a dedicated
FastPass Lane for those who purchase it in advance. Each pass is priced at
390 yen per person and allows groups of up to ten individuals. As part of their strategy, the FastPass aims not only to improve consumer experience but also to simplify operational processes for event organizers by reducing congestion and streamlining guest traffic.
