Nicosuma, a personal used smartphone sales and buyback service operated by Belong Inc., headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, has announced the rankings for both sales and buyback quantities for December 2025. Notably, the Android smartphones did not qualify for the buyback rankings.
Sales Rankings Overview
In December 2025, due to various sales and campaigns held on Nicosuma, the overall transaction numbers saw a significant increase. For seven consecutive months, the iPhone SE (3rd generation, 64GB) maintained the top position. This device not only topped the sales rankings but also claimed the first spot in total transactions among all models, outpacing the iPhone 13 by more than three times in popularity.
Additionally, the Google Pixel 6a and Google Pixel 7a, featured in the 'Google Certified Refurbished 1st Anniversary Campaign' running from December 1, 2025, to January 8, 2026, significantly climbed in the ranks from the previous month's 20th position, landing at 7th and 8th, respectively.
Annual Sales Rankings Highlights
Reflecting on the 2025 sales rankings, the iPhone SE (3rd generation) emerged as the standout star. After a streak of 16 months dominated by the iPhone SE (2nd generation, 64GB), a change occurred in April 2025, with the iPhone SE (3rd generation) taking over in June and maintaining its rank ever since.
The top three sales rankings for 2025 were:
1. iPhone SE (3rd generation) - Up from 3rd the previous year
2. iPhone SE (2nd generation) - Down from 1st
3. iPhone 13 - Up from 4th
Compared to 2024, the rise of the iPhone SE (3rd generation) to first place is notable, while the iPhone 12 fell to fourth place, indicating a shift towards newer iPhone models.

In terms of buyback numbers, the iPhone SE (2nd generation, 64GB) ranked first for four consecutive months, continuing the trend of high transaction numbers for the iPhone SE series.
