Shinichiro Minagawa, the founder of B's International, will present a special exhibition titled 'Obsessive Collecting' at calif art gallery starting from October 3, 2025. This exhibition serves as a retrospective of nearly four decades of collecting, a journey initiated when Minagawa first traveled to the United States in 1986. At that time, he vowed to split his life between Japan and America, a decision that ultimately led to the establishment of B’s International a year after his return from Canada.

Minagawa reflects on his extensive collection that now fills his home, comprising an eclectic mix of items from different eras and genres. From corporate novelties from the 60s and 70s, Olympic memorabilia, World Cup artifacts, and vintage Buddy Lee dolls to high-end collectibles like Adidas vintage sneakers, his collection is a testament to his unwavering passion for discovery. These items, often found in flea markets and auctions, are collected not for wealth or luxury but out of a sheer love for the unique and interesting.

As He transitions into a new phase at 60 years old, Minagawa sees this exhibition as an opportunity to pass on the pieces he's adored over the years. He hopes that the collection will spark joy in others and inspire the next generation of collectors. The opening day on October 3 will see Minagawa present at the gallery, with additional opportunities for collection sales on October 4 and 5, just five minutes away from the main exhibit.
